I’m very excited to announce a new addition to the Black Sheep Wine Imports portfolio, we have partnered with an extremely talented Canadian wine prouder; Richard da Silva and his Misconduct Wine Co. from the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia!  Expect to see a selection of wines from Misconduct become available in Alberta within the next few weeks.

Richard da Silva is a larger than life personality who was born and raised in Oliver, B.C. and grew up farming the land in the Southern Okanagan with his Father and Grandfather.  Due to the lucky fortune of befriending a young man who’s father had a crazy collection of some of the greatest and most iconic wines from the Old World, Richard’s pallet was exposed to and learned to appreciate fine wine at a relatively young age.

Through his formal wine studies and travel, Richard, a self-taught winemaker, has developed a realistic understanding of wines from around the world rather than developing an all too common isolated opinion of wine.

I believe Richard’s wines display what the Okanagan Valley has now become capable of producing and that his wines are some of the best to come out of Western Canada!

With our first shipment, Black Sheep will be including selections from the Suspect Series which are Misconduct’s top tier line of wines with the concept being to express the terroir of the different sub-regions throughout the Okanagan Valley; displaying varietals which tend to thrive best in each region.  Expect to see Misconduct’s Bootleg series wines added to our portfolio at a later date.

Cheers!
